Deusto (which, not mentioned in the article, used to be tomato fields before population) Chocolate Tomatoes. Although I’m starting to eat tomatoes when they’re with friends, these things are invited to the table as loners.

The New Year begins! (warning, out of order post!)
A nice Saturday stroll on the waterfront in Bilbao. What a difference it makes when a professional designs your city’s new additions. For example, this footbridge:
It’s late so I’m just posting the eye candy (yes, you have to click “read more” because this is bandwidth happy candy).
“Derb, stop tapping!” –My Brother
“Stop bouncing your leg!” –Nora
“You don’t even know you’re doing that (squeaky mouth sounds), do you?! –My Father
Given the previous evidence, perhaps it wasn’t the best idea for Nora to buy us tickets to Mayumana for Christmas. Mayumana is an Israeli dance/percussion group of the same genre as Stomp. […]
Mr. Jota (pronounced like you’re trying to imitate white-noise in the back of your throat and ending with an “OHTAH”) keeps sleeping in the bed here and leaving behind all sorts of kingly hair goodness. What a pal.
A roundabout in Bilbao, this year draped in blue.
First Course of Christmas Dinner in Basque Country. From top to bottom on the main table: Langostinos, Buey, Txangurro, Lomo, Jamon, and Langostimos and Lomo again.

…and at night they brought another Olentzero around the streets and sang in different parts of the town.
Oh…forget “Merry Christmas” or “Feliz Navidad.” […]

Wow… That’s about all I could say as we exited the show here last night in Bilbao, Spain. I’d wanted to see Cirque du Soleil since I saw them on Leno as a child. Last night I went to Dralion.
Since photography of any kind is forbidden during the show, I only have […]
I hope everyone out there’s having a nice day relaxing after the Christmas Festivities. I’m excaping responsibility from the 20th until the 3rd in Erandio, Basque Country in Spain.
My first Christmas in a non-meat-and-potatoes society means my stomach is quite confused. In the States I’d eaten shrimp once…and it was of a non-lifelike-but-rather-foodlike […]
How to have fun on vacation. Go Christmas shopping alone where you don’t speak the language…
Ok, so it’s my own fault. I didn’t get a present that was small enough to bring with and, therefore, to exchange here in Erandio. I took the metro into Bilbao with Nora and we decided to […]
