Two days ago I posted about my depressing Thanksgiving meal in Germany. Yesterday I went (albeit sans camera…) to the official Wolfenbüttel Thanksgiving celebration (Kenosha, Wisconsin is a sister city to Wolfenbüttel and an organization here puts on special events to honor this relationship).
Although one or two things may have been snuck on the menu by the German folk, the rest were surprisingly authentic. I was also introduced to another lady there who came over from San Francisco for school over 40 years ago. Very interesting to talk to someone who has been in the same boat as you. With doggy-bag in fridge, I can tell you that the German’s really know how to throw down a fine Thanksgiving Fest.
