I hope everyone out there’s having a nice day relaxing after the Christmas Festivities. I’m excaping responsibility from the 20th until the 3rd in Erandio, Basque Country in Spain.
My first Christmas in a non-meat-and-potatoes society means my stomach is quite confused. In the States I’d eaten shrimp once…and it was of a non-lifelike-but-rather-foodlike appearance. Here I was busy poppin’ heads, pealin’ crusties and removing legs to earn my keep. I don’t have a clue what the other dishes were called so I’ll leave it at: 3 more types of fish, some type of non-spicy pepper filled with another type of fish, foie, and (drumroll!) steak!!

Things are a bit different here since it’s on the coast and that “expensive” food is as common as sweet corn in South Dakota. After a shot of baking soda and a 90 minute nap I was ready to go again albeit fatter.
I hope everyone’s having a great time away from work/school and close to friends and family!
I’ll be getting some pictures up soon but someone (me) forgot to bring a card reader or usb cable and since there’s a wordwide conspiracy to charge non-technical consumers 28 [units of currency] for gold usb cables that are 150x longer than needed instead of being able to find a simple 2 [currency unit] adapter I can’t unload my camera
Update: got my cable
