John Conyers and 88 members of congress are attempting to wake up the media a bit over the leaked Downing Street memo with an open letter to the president. The memo (written in July 2002) goes so far as to lay out ways to “shape public opinion” in favor of the war. Nice. Don’t count on Fox to jump on this, you’ll have to go and peek at it yourself.
British media has already jumped on it but only a few US main stream sources have actually picked it up so far (Chicago Tribune, Seattle Times) … hopefully there will actually be something on television.
