Getting out of the house is an increasingly hard thing to accomplish as studies and work ramp up for the last haul of the semester. The other cat from the states swung by for some fresh made chicken before heading to Braunschweig for a couple of cocktails.
Wait…let me back up for a second.
Welcome to part three in our series of delicious meals able to be cooked with little to no preperation by people with little or no love for Ms. Stewart.
Step 1 : Open fridge
Step 2 : Find one day past prime chicken and peppers which you planned on using for turkey sandwiches except for the fact that they don’t have any spice at all and are overly bland in spite of their exciting package appearance.

Step 3 : Mix
Step 4 : Heat

Step 5 : Eat
……ok…so back to our evening.
Braunschweig, as mentioned in previous posts, is finally the way it used to be when we’d first arrived. Namely, warm. It has, however, changed because now we know where the deuce we’re going most of the time instead of wondering about like a couple of foreigners in Germany. We took a little stroll through the Fußgängerzone (no cars allowed, only foot traffic) as the sun set.

Winding our way over to the Silber Quelle (silver fountain) we spotted one of the typical “Welcome USA” signs which hang in random places all about Europe.

Where’s my Canada mascot when I need it? Throwing our self-pitying unwelcomedness aside, we sat down and had a few drinks. The Silber Quelle is about as big as a state school freshman year dormroom. It also has the eerie quality that only a tiny tiki bar in the middle of geradeaus Germany creates.

Guest-starring in this post is a lime worth around 1,50 € based on the fact that it was a part of a 7,50 € Mai-Tai
