intro
I’m venturing out into the wild world of cooking. After living here in Wolfenbüttel Germany without a microwave I must actually learn how to cook. I am no longer the starving student searching small change to fund my Pizza Hut habit. In addition to being “ohne Geld” it’s still a little fun for me to call Pizza Hut with only three months of German under my belt. So, without further ado, here is my first cooking entry.
my kitchen…

ingredients
- 1/4 kilo chicken
- 15 b.sprouts
- some balsamic vinegar
- 2 big spoons olive oil
- an onion
- 2 big spoons lemon pepper
- 1 big spoon salt
secret method
- get out a pot and a pan, one big enough for the sprouts to boil in and the other large enough to fry up that chicken
- fill one up with enough water to cover the sprouts and put some fire under it
- throw your big spoon of salt into the sprout pot
- cut up that poor chicken into little strips
- peel off the outer layer of the sprouts and cut an ‘x’ in the bottom of them
- heat up your two spoons of olive oil in the pan while you cut up that onion into little tiny pieces
- throw the little onion pieces into that oil
- after cleaning the sprouts one last time (you didn’t clean them before?) place them gently into the boiling salty death water for about 5-6 minutes
- after letting those onions fry for a minute or so add your chicken
- poor on that loving spoonfull of lemon pepper twice and continue to stir that chicken
- when the chicken is finished dump it out and replace it with the now finished sprouts
- …oh, and add that vinegar too….
- use your judgement on the times for the sprouts (I used about 2 minutes) take them out when you’re satisfied
- assemble your beautiful creation and serve to a party of one (one fat party….)
….ok so that doesn’t look like a “10″
post game coverage
I think my first stab at cooking turned out pretty good. If you think the directions are horrible, that’s because I didn’t have any and didn’t take any notes along the way. I promise future entries to be much better. (and tastier) be back next time, kids, when we make something else
Hey man, good job on the chicken…only thing I can suggest is to wipe your plate for better “presentation” and some chinese donuts for dessert
